The long anticipated day finally came. We had originally planned to do it May 1st but my mom needed to have knee surgery before. So we moved it to July. She still wasn't able to make it because of complications with Eric, but the day turned out beautifully and she was able to watch over FaceTime. There were lots of family and friends there to celebrate and love our new little man.
I had picked up his darling blessing suit a couple months before. It was size 3 months and he was 5 months old when we finally blessed him. I had to cut a small slit in the opening to get his head through. But no one could tell and he was just as handsome as can be. He kept pulling the little tiny bowtie out with his tight little fists. Silly baby.
Kyle's family and Ryan's family came up to visit. And all of Mason's side came up too. We decided to do it at home in our backyard under the trees. It was such an intimate setting. We had the grandfather's he was named after both say a few words. He was the perfect baby during the blessing. Mason gave a very beautiful blessing. It was a very special and reverent afternoon.
Afterwards we had a BBQ and all the cousins had a fun time together.
Mason's friend Chad and his family came up too. That meant a lot to Mason.
