Highlight of September was Mason riding in the LOTAJA race with Chris Furstenau and Chad Rassmussen - his two childhood best friends. I think Mason rode 30 miles total in his part of the race.
A low was when Adelyn (the cat with 9 lives who has already used up 3 of her lives - almost drowning at age 2, almost getting hit by a car last year, now this) got kicked by a horse. She came in crying and acting pretty weird and we asked her what happened. She had a big goose egg on her head and she said she ran into a tree. We could tell that something wasn't right with her story but that's what she kept telling us. Later that night as she was in bed she came up saying she needed to tell us something and she told us that she was kicked by a horse. Her conscience was getting the better of her. She's always so honest - for which I'm thankful. She said she was in the pen with the horse. First he kicked her in the leg (pushing her back thankfully bc if it had been to the head first that would have been terrible). First the head, then the groin, and lastly the head. My poor Addie bug was blessed and watched over that it wasn't worse. Poor poor Addie. She just loves horses but I think she learned an important lesson.
Another highlight is that Daddy got a new truck! Wyatt calls it his monster truck and he loves it!
