We've had a busy busy summer. In between trips and vacations we managed to squeeze quite a few things in.
The ducks finally ventured out of their coupe. We filled up a their pool with water and they LOVE it. Towards the end of the month they discovered the river and it's their favorite place on earth. They are so fun to watch.
Boonie took a nap with me one day. I like taking naps with my kids because it's one of the few times they are quiet and still and I can look at their beautiful faces.
This was at Ruth Beckstrom's house. Adelyn came out pulling this suitcase and all of the sudden this kitten poked its head out!! It was hilarious. This is where we got Big Cat from... and that's why he's so friendly because he was mauled by her grandchildren (playing dressup with the cats, etc) for so long. Adelyn is SO skinny... I wonder when she'll get some meat on her bones.
When Boonie gets mad - he gets MAD. I told him that he could break anything of his - just not our things... he broke his piggy bank and immediately felt bad and asked me to fix it. I couldn't, but I think he learned an important lesson.
We caught a baby raccoon and the ducks and chickens were curious... Mason ended up letting it go because he felt bad. We have a whole family living in our backyard.
Mason has wanted a basketball hoop ever since he was a kid... so he bought a fancy schmancy one and dug a HUGE hole... we put our handprints in the cement when it was all done. Now he and Boonie love to play together.
I found this stash of wrappers... Marae certainly got in trouble for this one... no wonder she never eats anything and often has stomach aches.... naughty thing.
After so many late nights Adelyn was exhausted... I found her like this one afternoon.
We went blackberry picking at Mt. Naomi farm. It was a beautiful morning with my babies. We made a pie and shakes with our delicious pickings.
Here's Marae showing up her loose front tooth.
Adelyn sampled probably about a whole bucket worth... I suppose that's the bonus of picking them yourself. They were delicious.
