September Randoms

September was a month full of birthdays an sick kids.  Boonie had hand, foot, mouth and then Adelyn caught it from him.  She then got a virus on top of that and had to go to the hospital for fluids one day.  It was a 3 week sickness for her and she lost a lot of weight.  Poor Addie.   September highlights other than two birthdays were a mystical kitty showing up and walking up to Marae and becoming her cat causing all her dreams to come true, getting another cat to keep that one friends,  Marae losing her first tooth, playing with our bunnies that we got last month, and enjoying the beginnings of fall.

This will be the PERFECT blackmail someday.

Baby Number 4 Gender Reveal!

We were SO excited to find out what we were having.  Everyone thought we were having a boy so there sure were going to be tears if we weren't!  We let Boonie come to the ultrasound with us being he was so curious about everything.  We had the ultrasound technician write down the gender on an envelope.  We bought two colors of silly string - blue for boy and pink for girl.  We had the kids line up and sprayed them with the color that their new baby would be.

It's a BOY!!!!  YAY!!!  2 and 2!!  A perfect ending for our family!!

Boonie's Birthday Party

We had another action packed party planned for Jedi Boone!  We had planned on having the party in our backyard but it ended up being SUPER cold and rainy so we moved it to the church last minutes.  WILD PARTY for 16 kids!!  What was I thinking...  It ended up being fun though... although we did discover a new side of Boonie.  More on that later.

He didn't have school that day so we started the day off by letting him go and choose a kitten from the neighbor.  We decided it was better that the other cat not be alone since he's an outdoor cat.  These two have been besties since.  He was SO TINY when we got him... we wonder if he was too little to be taken from his mom because he kept trying to nurse off the bigger cat.  He has just as sweet of a temperament as the other cat.  They are perfect for our kiddos who love animals.  He named him Spooks.

That afternoon we set off to the church to set up for the party.  For Halloween he wanted to be Kilo Ren .  We let him wear his costume a month early for the party. 

His friends arrived and they had an epic battle to begin with.  Then we started the games and that's when we learned that sometime between the ages 6 and 7 he developed an extremely competitive spirit.  I'm talking... "If I don't win at pin the lightsaber on Yoda or Musical Chairs then I'm running out of the room and crying for the rest of the party".  Yikes...  Note to self... don't plan competitive games for future parties for a couple years.  It was so crazy chasing him down and trying to calm him down that he missed a lot of his party.  We almost didn't have time to do the cake and presents.  All his little friends were sitting in a circle calling for him while Mason was trying to get him back in the room.  I think it became an issue of embarrassment too... Oh Boonie.  But he came back, had cake, opened presents and then ended with another successful lightsaber battle.

Little Boonie Lefler - 7 Years Old

My little man.... He's getting so big it breaks my heart every time I stop and think about it.  I did two shoots with Boonie.  One in September right around his birthday and the others were taken at the beginning of December.  He's such a handsome little man.  I can't believe he's been with us for 7 years!!

He's at such a fun age.  He's well behaved enough to take him places.  He's curious about EVERYTHING!  He loves to learn and is very smart.  He is always up for any adventure and the life of the party wherever he goes.  He's an adventurer and kind hearted soul.  He can't handle to see anything suffer and will go out of his way to make people laugh and happy (except Marae - she is his weakness).  He loves Adelyn and is a great big brother.  He's SUPER excited to have another little brother join the family.

He loves learning Spanish at school.  He's picking it up very well and loves to teach his sisters words.  He's great at the piano and we are impressed with how quickly he has picked that up as well.  He's a sponge for knowledge.

Marae's 5th Birthday Party

Marae had a delightful little girl party.  There are NO girls her age on Hollow Road and we didn't want her to feel sad that there wasn't anyone to invite to her party.  So we took her closest friends to Bounce and Slide where they all had a blast.   She invited Lucy Allred, Norah Tolsen, and Annalee Arkoudas.

She was SO excited to be having a day with the girls.  This NEVER happens.

For her birthday she got Shopkins -and all her wildest dreams came true.
