The Basement Remodel

Due to the high levels of radon we decided to pull all the carpet up and check the foundation for cracking, seal it up, install a radon machine and remodel the basement while we were at it.  We've been thinking about doing it for a while, but finally decided to do it being the radon testing came back so alarmingly high.

First, here are the kids in their old rooms for the last time.  🥲

February Randoms

 February consisted of snow, more snow, School of Rock rehearsals, and Valentine's Day.  This year for Valentine's day we used the chocolate fountain that we've had in the garage for years.  It was so fun and delicious!  This year had the most snow that Ive ever seen in my whole life.  It just keeps snowing and snowing and snowing!!!  

President's Day Weekend at the Lefler cabin

We decided to go up to Woodland over President's Day weekend to stay in the Lefler cabin.  It was exactly what we all needed - a getaway to a location where there's no screens and we have no obligations and we just hang out together.  We didn't do a ton, but it was so fun.  We baked, did a new puzzle, played lots of games, watched a movie using Grandpa's projector, went snow shoeing, went on a hike up to knoblets, had dinner with Aunt Jann, and just recharged.  It was wonderful.
