Adelyn 10Months

Things Adelyn does at 10 months:

FINALLY scoots. She had been getting up on her knees to crawl but can never figure it out. Now she can finally move with great effort. She pulls herself mostly with her arms but she can get around a room pretty well. She likes to get into the things in her brothers room that she isn't suppose to... aka puzzles and legos. Don't worry. We watch her closely.
She throws things in the funniest way. Like when she gets a lego in her hand she knows she isn't suppose to have she will flap her arms wildly until the item flies out. She does this with balls too. She doesn't know how to throw so she just flaps crazily until it flies out of her hands.
She still spits food. But this usually only happens when she is full now.
LOVES LOVES LOVES her little wolf dog Mason brought her after one of his conferences. I'll have to get a picture of it. She loves to snuggle it and rub her face on it.
Claps her hands and waves.
She makes a kissing sound with her gums. It sounds just like the kissing sound. She gives her wolf kisses sometimes.
She still has no teeth.
She likes to try and help change her diaper.... NO THANK YOU.
She is still a perfect dolly - as always!!
Her nickname is 'The Shag'.

We signed Rae up for a ballet and tap class this year. She loves it. She loves to get dressed up in her tutus. She calls a ballerina a bri-na-na. She likes me to give her ballerina hair. She is so girly and I just love it.

Her first class was on her birthday. This was at the first studio we signed her up at. I ended up changing after 2 weeks because there were WAY too many little girls in one class. I don't have a picture of her in her new one that she LOVES yet.

Being it was her birthday she got to go out to McDonald's after - plus this was a bribe for her to stay in dance... she didn't like the first studio much... the instructors just spent the whole time yelling at the little girls to listen and hold still... that didn't sit very well with Marae. Haha... But the new one is just perfect for her and her teacher is so patient and fun.

Marae's Birthday Party

We had a little party with our family and it was SO MUCH FUN. Marae felt so special. She loves horses so we had a My Little Pony party. First we made unicorn horns. Boone's turned out looking more like Mardi Gras. After that we did cake and ice cream. I made her a pink horse cake.

She loved it!! After she ate the eye off she proudly said, "I ate the eyeball. Now it's a zombie" and then she busted up in laughter. I have no idea where that came from.

She got a bunch of my own My Little Ponies from when I was a little girl. And she loves them too.

Afterwards she and daddy went and built the Frozen puzzles that Grandma gave her. Please notice Mason wearing his unicorn horn as well.

I love this girl.

Marae 3 Years Old

My girl. I love you so much Marae. You are so beautiful and such a sweet heart. I wish I could freeze time with you right now.

3 Year Stats

Height: 38.5 inches - 80 Percentile
Weight: 30 lbs. - 45 Percentile

Things Marae does right now:

Is potty trained and quite proud of herself. She likes her big girl undies. She earned a horse on a stick with a sticker chart and it's her all time favorite toy right now.
She loves her mommy and this just melts me. She asks me to snuggle her all the time. The other day at the park she wouldn't leave my side and I said, "Rae, go play. What are you doing?" She answered with, "I just love you mommy." She calls me her sister all the time and asks if I want to be her friend.
She has become sensitive. Mason laughs because he said at one point about a year ago that he was worried that she had no feelings of empathy or care for anything (granted she was 2). Now if she gets in trouble or if you talk stern to her she tries to hold her face strong but you can see it quiver and she runs to her room sobbing. It's mostly when Mason disciplines her.
She loves Adelyn. She loves her so much it's dangerous.
She loves to dance and calls it 'shaking her buns'. We have many dance parties. Her favorite song is Uptown Funk - and she loves to point at you and say HOT PANTS during the chorus when they say it. She's so cute.
She is beautiful. Seriously... She is my dolly - always has been. I could just stare at her all day. I play dress up every single day. I love her hair. I've become good a braiding it and doing cute styles with it. She is very patient and let's me do it most days. That is a dream come true for me.
She likes to sing with me.
She LOVES horses. They were put on this earth for her. She talks about them all the time. Her favorite toy is "the horse on a stick" and it goes everywhere with her. It sleeps with her along with her blankie every night now.
She is a tough girl. I guess that's what happens when you have an older brother. She can jump on the trampoline and rough house with Boonie like no other. People will watch and are amazed at how tough she is. Sometimes she gives him a run for the money in energy.
She likes to help. If someone does something wrong and is getting in trouble she makes sure that you recognize that she was doing something right.

I just love her so much. I loved Boone at 3 and 4. I don't want this age to pass. I am soaking up my princess girl as much as I can.
