Rihanna
Recently I have been told that I look like the singer Rihanna. It hasn't just come from one person... otherwise I probably wouldn't have thought to much about it, but being I have heard it from so many different sources I had to get your opinion.
Sighting #1: Last spring break we went out to Hawaii to visit some friends. This was the first time I heard that I looked like her. At that time I didn't even know who she was. When I got home and did some research I had to laugh, not because I'm racist, but because she's black... and the only thing black about me is my backside - ahem.

Sighting #2: Last summer when I went to Africa one of the girls had brought a People Magazine with them to read. There was a whole article on Rihanna. Everyone in our group decided that I look exactly (in their words) like her and so they proceeded to call me that from time to time on the trip.

Other random sightings have come and gone but the final one that had to make me laugh was one of my fellow first grade teachers, Britta (we miss you!!) from last year told me that I looked like her.

So what do you think guys?
I always wondered what I would look like if I was black. :)

Dear Mother Nature,
I do not naturally complain, but I really don't like waking up and having to scrape this. Perhaps there can be no more snow in April?

Random tid-bits
So many of you were probably wondering... or not... why Del Taco was included on our diet. It's not. That diet was too extreme so we are doing it in moderation. Now we only eat two meals a day on the diet (meaning fruits and veggies) and the other meal gets to be a normal meal. Hence the Del Taco.
Also... I do know how to spell. Granted I do teach first grade but... I realize that it's DEL taco with one L and not two. I mean give me a break. I was thinking about the farmer and the dell not espanol type. So please forgive the mess up.
Next... does anyone here in Utah have the 4th Twilight book - Breaking Dawn that they would be willing to lend me. I don't want to pay 25 dollars for it.
Lastly... Here's what we did last night...

I love that little man.

Dell Taco - Private Party - Sorry Guys...
So I have friends tell me when I ask them why they don't blog more often is because they don't have anything to blog about. Well guys you must blog about the finer things in life... such as this next post.
My fellow teacher friends who read my blog are probably going to think I have no life, which I basically don't, but that's ok. Enjoy.
They are opening up a new Dell Taco at Thanksgiving Point which is about 15 miles from where we live. Dell Taco is my dear sweet husbands absolute all time favorite eating establishment. If he could buy stock in the business, he would. Well when they posted a sign in the teacher's lounge last week that Dell Taco would be serving free dinner to teachers and their families tonight as a trial run for their new opening before they opened... I knew I would make it on his 'good' list when I broke the news. I did.

I'll bet you have never been invited to a Private Party at Dell Taco before. Well guys, I had the honor. Listen to this... now we walk in the door and the manager of the place says, "Hi, feel free to order anything off the menu you want. You can even get extras to take home if you want." Now... if you know me or my family... that is a golden ticket. We were in heaven. I wish I didn't love food so much.
They had also got some clowns to come entertain the kids that were there. Mason had him make me a balloon flower with a bear. I love it.
Who would have thought that Dell Taco could be so much fun?!?
Now this is what a quality post is made of guys.
