We started the month off with some free frozen yogurt at Yogurtland. The kids were just thrilled because they got to put whatever they wanted on - and it was free!!
I tutor every morning. And every morning a bleary eyed Rae wakes up and tells gives me something to 'teach' the kids. This particular morning she asked me to teach, "Little Mermaid Purse." She's so adorable when she wakes up.
Boonie hit the 100th day of school. The kids got to dress up how they imagined they would look when they were 100 years old. What a cutie.
There has been SO MUCH SNOW this year. Our neighbors say they haven't seen this much snow in 20 years. Anyway... it got really warm one day and everything started to melt all at once. It caused major flooding all over town. So much so that they asked people to stop flushing toilets and using all domestic water for about 24 hours until the drains lowered because people's basements were flooding from the water coming up the pipes. Luckily we didn't have it that bad, but one morning while I was teaching I noticed my socks were wet... and yup... we had water seeping up through the cement. Luckily it was just a misplaced gutter and we were able to fix it pretty quickly and get it dried out.
Marae's school went to the fire stateion on a field trip.
BATC had their annual ski night (his work has awesome parties!!) so we got to go up to Beaver Mountain and go skiing. We ran into our old neighbor from center street - Matt Larsen (Franny's dad) who owns the place and he hooked us up with rentals. So it was a crazy cheap night and so much fun!! We stayed on the bunny hill the whole time. Boonie was so brave. He would go straight down and then turn at the end to stop. He never figured out how to plow... just turn at the end. But he was good! Marae got private lessons from Matt and she learned how to snow plow down the whole hill. She did great!!! They both had so much fun. It made us want to take them more. Kids pick things up so quickly!
Halfway through we went in the lodge for a yummy dinner.
She's so pretty!!!!
And naughty... notice the car at the bottom of the toilet. We will hear sounds around the house... the washing machine turning on, the clothes washer beeping, toilets shutting... it's just the little 2 year old fairy making the rounds around the house.
For Valentine's Day we made chocolate fondue. I love my Valentine's,
We are SO EXCITED to be able to go back outside again...
Boonie and I got to go on a mommy son square dancing date at his school. I took him out to dinner before. Of course he chose Chuck a Rama - his favorite!! He did so well country dancing. I love my little man.
The snow just keeps dumping on us. I had wanted to take Addie sledding being she missed it last time. So we went sledding Saturday morning. The pictures that I caught of Boonie and Marae coming down just crack me up. I love their faces in all of them.
We made beignets for the kids. They turned out pretty good. Nothing like Cafe duMonde's though. Yumm!!!
