I felt like we were missing all the Christmas festivities with a newborn at home. Other than the Lefler Christmas party and the ward party (which we were only at about an hour) we didn't go out. So the week before Christmas I planned a little family date. It was Adelyn's first major outing. It wasn't very cold so it was perfect. We went downtown and walked around the cute shops and looked at the Christmas lights. They also had a gingerbread house contest going on in all the shop windows that looked at. Then we stopped in the Bluebird and shared a banana split at the ice cream counter. We finished off by stopping and looking at the nativity in front of the Logan tabernacle. Inside the tabernacle was a free concert and we walked in right as Santa came in playing the hand bells. It was a great Christmas outing and we got some cute selfies out of it too.
